Impact Lab has once again calculated RAW’s Social Return on Investment for women participating in the model between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023. For 2023, the scope was extended to include children and alumni, taking a lifetime approach to capture social value across direct participants and secondary beneficiaries. A more granular understanding of the nature of women’s offending and their mental & physical health enabled us to capture greater opportunity and avoided costs of victimisation. This evaluation work was kindly funded by WEL Energy Trust.

Impact Lab’s GoodMeasure tool’s power comes from calculations using multiple reputable data sources, including the Treasury Living Standards Framework for Wellbeing. GoodMeasure also uses the best of the worldwide evidence about what works. This includes published literature and evidence databases from world-renowned academics and impact organisations.  Impact Lab measures this impact in terms of both positive benefits (such as increased income) and avoided costs to government.
