RAW requires each woman to relocate to Waikato, without their children, to fully invest in their reintegration. Here, they learn how to manage their responses to life’s challenges, engage in study and/or a meaningful career and provide a safe and loving home for their children

RAW is continually developing its out of home support services.  This includes facilitating employment opportunities and providing one-on-one coaching when life gets tough

LIFESTYLE IMPACT

An independent evaluation, funded by J R McKenzie Trust, was completed by 26 RAW women on the impact RAW has had on their lives. Questions were designed to reflect life before RAW relative to their lives in December 2019.

The results highlight the depth of growth and resilience the RAW Reintegration model has brought to the lives of RAW women

SOCIAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT

Impact Lab has once again calculated RAW’s Social Return on Investment for women participating in the model between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023. This time around, the scope was extended to include children and alumni, taking a lifetime approach to capture social value across direct participants and secondary beneficiaries. A more granular understanding of the nature of women’s offending and their mental & physical health enabled us to capture greater opportunity and avoided costs of victimisation. This work was kindly funded by WEL Energy Trust.
